Privacy Policy
How Gigbuddy collects, uses, and shares information when you create an account, sign in, or use the product.
Last updated: 12 September 2026
Who we are
Gigbuddy is a live-event production workspace for input lists, stageplots, patch, and picking lists. The service is operated by DPM Studios.
Questions about this policy or your personal data: david@dpmstudios.se.
What this policy covers
This policy applies to gigbuddy.dpmstudios.se and related Gigbuddy apps, including email/password signup, Google sign-in, project collaboration, public share links, and paid Sound module subscriptions.
Information we collect
We collect the information needed to run your account and the workspace:
- Account details: name, email address, and a hashed password if you register with email.
- Google sign-in: name and email from Google when you choose that provider. We require a verified Google email and do not automatically merge that login with an existing password account.
- Project content you create or are invited to: channel lists, stageplots, picking lists, chat messages, and similar production data.
- Billing data handled by Stripe if you subscribe (we do not store full card numbers).
- Technical information such as session cookies, approximate usage, and security logs needed to keep the service running.
We do not ask for payment card details on signup. Public share links expose only the project data the owner chose to publish.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Create and authenticate your account, including Google sign-in.
- Provide, sync, and improve Gigbuddy (projects, collaboration, print/PDF, and related tools).
- Send transactional email such as welcome messages, password resets, and share invites (via Resend).
- Process Sound module subscriptions (via Stripe).
- Protect the service (rate limits, abuse prevention, and account security).
- Comply with law and respond to valid legal requests.
Legal bases (EEA / UK)
Where GDPR applies, we typically rely on: performing the contract when you use Gigbuddy; consent for the in-app GDPR acceptance step and optional communications; and legitimate interests in securing and improving the service. You can withdraw consent by declining GDPR acceptance (which signs you out) or by contacting us to close the account.
How long we keep data
We keep account and project data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data unless we must keep a limited record (for example billing or security logs) for a lawful period.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. You can also object to or restrict certain processing where the law allows.
To exercise these rights, email david@dpmstudios.se. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also complain to your local supervisory authority.
Security
We use hashed passwords, session controls, and access checks on project data. No internet service is perfectly secure. Use a unique password and keep your Google account protected if you use that sign-in method.
Children
Gigbuddy is built for professional event crews. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 16.
Changes
We may update this draft as the product changes. The date at the top of the page will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy, unless the law requires a new consent.
