Questions people ask
I'm setting up a new gig. Where do I start?
Click New Project on your dashboard and fill in the date, venue and times on Overview. Add Sound for inputs and patch, and Crew to book people.
Start a new project →Do I need to save my changes?
No. Every edit saves on its own, and the bar shows Saving… and then Saved.
Know when your work is saved →What happens if two of us edit the same cell?
What you are typing is never replaced while you type. Once both edits are saved, the last one wins, so agree on who owns which list.
Know when your work is saved →Can I use Gigbuddy without internet?
Not for editing. Without a connection the lists stay on screen but are view-only. If the venue has no signal, print or download PDFs before load-in.
The bar says Offline or Reconnecting →Are there keyboard shortcuts?
Yes. The lists work like a spreadsheet, the plot has undo, duplicate and arrow-key nudging, and the Crew grid fills days with a drag. In a list, the plot or the Crew grid, press ? to see the keyboard shortcuts for that page.
Shortcuts and tips →Can a client see the project?
Only what you share with them. Invite them under Client in People, or send a client link if they have no account. Use View as Client on Overview to check what they see.
Share the brief with a client →Is the picking list built from the stageplot?
No. It counts the input and output lists, the consoles, stageboxes, trunks and drawn feeds. Add anything that is only on the plot as your own item.

No, the stageplot is not part of the PDF. Print & export covers inputs, outputs, the picking list, trunks, labels, the crew list and the day sheet.

It is the project's Plot, one editor for the stage, Sound and Lighting. Open it from Sound's Stageplot tab, Lighting's Plot tab, or Plot in the project rail.
Open the plot →Does the person I book need an account?
No. They answer Yes or No from the mail. To open My booking and see the show details, they sign in or sign up with the address the request went to.
Answer a booking request →Who can see allergies and phone numbers?
Only bookers whose roster link you have accepted, and Crew editors on projects you are booked on. Other crew on the show see your name and role.
Fill in your profile →How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → User → Account and click Request account deletion. It opens a mail to the Gigbuddy team; ask for a copy of your data the same way.

They are linked at the bottom of every public page, and from sign-up and login.
